Graphic designer Jonathan Puckey uses a plugin in Adobe Illustrator to create vectorized portaits based on the Delaunay Triangulation.Puckey is able to create these illustrations using the help of Scriptographer and Color Averaging by Jürg Lehni both plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator.

Great little interview of Garson Yu, the preeminent master of motion graphics and title sequences. An almost under-appreciated art form in its own right that’s slowly getting its due. His studio’s work on Watchmen was one of the best things about that film.

Collage art food magazine, Food + Sex, is a combined effort of artists, writers, farmers and foodmakers exploring how desire shapes the food environment. By weaving erotic, shocking and thoughtful layers of beauty, wildness and the human spirit, we peer into the fire of hope and fear to find the hidden, seek the cosmic and reflect on the elemental connectedness in life that opens us to new ways of being. Included in its pages are a visual patchwork of uncommon art, essays and excerpts by thinkers, makers and doers from the food underground and beyond.

A hippy-esque idealogy presented through snug little essays sandwiched between high-end designs, it seems. Their debut magazine is available for preview and gives some sort of glimpse for what they’re going for. Though one of their most intriguing stories about psychedelic mushrooms, titled “Tripping Balls on the Magic Penis” seems to have been already been printed in a previous issue of Vice.

Over at SuperPunch they’ve collected a fair number of the visual mash-ups of Disney meets Marvel. Got to love the speed of the interwebz. News hits of Disney purchasing Marvel and literally within hours these little gems are making the rounds.

The negative effects of poverty are very significant and limiting for those who are affected by it on a daily basis, but are especially difficult for youth. For these youth things that we take for granted – let’s say, the simple action of going out to play with friends on a skateboard – seem unattainable. Without access to a positive support through a group of peers and healthy alternatives to focus on, these kids can lose their way. By working with non-profit organizations across Canada, who are dedicated to youth at risk and children in lower-income neighborhoods, we hope to encourage successful outcomes through the addition of skateboarding as a positive reinforcement.

So bid on one of many amazingly decorated longboards and help a good cause while simultaneously grabbing yourself a new mode of transportation.
