Proof that photographer and director are not one in the same. Mute this video less you want to hear something not unlike a Goo Goo Dolls song. If this is all what “living” covers are about, then save for the glorious resolution of the Red Camera, there’s not much beyond some weird borderline territory of shitty music video and softcore porn. To top it all off, the actual cover of “the sexiest woman alive” just plain.. sucks. Color me disappointed.

Though some thoughts kept resurfacing during my second viewing –

I’m astounded by the way the Mark II has created its own mini-revolution in video. While there are still a fair number of limitations in how it captures and the lack of customized settings, it’s pretty evident that filmmakers have managed to get around these issues. And really, when you see get to see the footage through all this nice 35mm glass, it looks so good it sort of outweighs everything else.

A nice video with a fun sense of narrative that could’ve gotten hokey but never quite drifted into that territory while making great use of breaking structure.
